Tanning salons are regulated by Minnesota county and/or city laws.
Salon Professional License
Minnesota requires personal appearance professionals, their salons/shops plus the training academies and instructors to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologist Examiners (BCE).

Minnesota requires barbers, barber shops, barbering schools and instructors to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Barber Examiners (BBE) under the Minnesota Health Licensing Boards.
Minnesota licensing is regulated by city or county. Currently there are no state requirements and regulations for massage therapists.
